Van delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative

York location

£9.00 per hour

Immediate Start

We have an opening for an experienced Van delivery driver / Warehouse Operative to work at a busy warehouse based in York.

This role requires someone who is computer literate. However, full training on the bespoke software system will be provided with regard to warehouse related tasks and booking in.

Hours or work: 7.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday and over time on weekends.

Must Have: A Full clean UK driving licence required

Main duties and activities but not limited to:-

• Assisting with Picking and despatching orders ready for delivery.

• Route Planning.

• Delivery or collection of goods to/from customers using the Company vehicle.

• Assisting with booking in of deliveries and in keeping the warehouse organised and tidy

• Vehicle checks and keeping Company Van clean and tidy

• Keeping your manager informed of any problems

• Working as a team member

• Attention to detail when completing tasks

• Ensure you play a part operating in a safe working environment

Skills and Experience:-

• Self motivated and disciplined

• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written

• An eye for detail and accuracy

• Delivery Driver and Warehouse experience

• Some heavy lifting required (Manual handling training will be provided)
