We are recruiting for an experienced Stores Team Leader to join our growing manufacturing company based in Brough, East Yorkshire. The company manufactures for customers worldwide and has a reputation for providing quality and reliable products on time. The company has grown over the past few years and now has ambitious growth plans.
The company is now looking to strengthen its team and hire an experienced Stores Team Leader.
The role of Stores Team Leader will involve the following duties;
Leading a team of 5 to 6 staff and ensuring the operation of the Stores runs smoothly
Conducting staff reviews and on the job training.
Delegating work to the team members
General stores work, ensuring there is enough products in stock, managing stock in/out system on a strict basis
Liaising with suppliers to order stock when required, then deal with deliveries and ensure it is all logged and put away safely and securely.
Liaising with carriers/couriers to arrange same day/overnight transport, collections and deliveries of products. Ensuring that customers lead times are met. Must have good logistical knowledge to be able to plan deliveries to customers to ensure lead times are met and customer is happy.
Keeping stores area clean and tidy, and free from obstructions.
The Stores Team Leader role offers a salary of between £25 to £28k per annum (dependent on experience). The company offers on-site parking, pension and training.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
We are looking for applications from people who;
Have previous Stores experience
Have previous Team Leading experience
Excellent IT skills and be able to use an MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) computerized system to track and monitor stock accordingly. Must also have a good understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel.
Have good interpersonal and leadership skills and lead from the front
Have good logistical knowledge to be able to plan deliveries.
Have the ability to delegate tasks in an organised fashion.
