Production Team Leader Permanent

The company we are working with a looking for an experienced Team leader to join their production team,  based in Pocklington. 

The role is a Monday – Friday position working 7.30am – 16.00pm. 

The salary for this role will be between £22,000 – £25,000, based on your experience. 

General duties will include;

• Acting as first line management of the production area
• Ensuring high levels of Health & Safety are maintained on the shop floor
• Leading production staff during daily production routines to ensure the highest quality is maintained
• Motivate and coach staff to achieve a team work environment
• Ensuring correct manpower is assigned to duties to fulfil production.
• Recording and maintaining time and attendance issues on the shop floor
• Carrying out return to work interviews
• Administering the company disciplinary procedures as required
• Controlling holidays and leave requests
• Coordinate line feeding and changeovers of the production lines with correct materials
• Assist in stock rotation (FIFO)
• Provide cover to production as and when required

We are ideally looking for a person who has good supervisory experience in a production based environment . You should have a proven ability to follow policies, procedures and instructions to ensure quality is ensured. You should also have experience of supervising a team of usp to 10 people, and have a ”hands on” approach to any shop floor duties.
