Night Supervisor Permanent

We now have a vacancy for a hands on Night Transport Supervisor to join our friendly team based in Doncaster, preferably for an immediate start.

Role Responsibilities

• Night handover from days transport team
• Driver de-brief
• Night shift drivers briefing
• Traffic management through the night
• Reporting discrepancies/late running etc
• Keeping traffic system up to date
• Morning Handover to days transport team
• Nightly yard and trailer checks
• Replenish diesel in refrigerated trailers
• Weekly vehicle check to ensure company policies are being adhered

Candidate Requirement:

Experienced transport operator/planner within the transport industry, ideally within road haulage

• Some warehousing experience would be beneficial as some trans-shipping is required throughout the night, although this is supported by our warehousing team
• Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Organised, able to prioritise and multi-task
• IT literate, competent in Microsoft packages
• Self-motivated, flexible and confident

Hours

• Hours of work Monday to Sunday
• 12 hour shifts on a four on four off rota basis.
