Mechanical Fitter Permanent

Our client supply conveyor systems to Airports and other companies across the UK, they are looking for several Mechanical Fitters to work in their factory and on site doing assembly and installations.

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:          Factory/Installation (depending on allocation)

1. Main Purpose of Job

To provide Assembly, Maintenance and Installation services.

1. Principle Accountabilities

• Assessing work risks
• Working to instructions
• Working to permit systems
• Liaising with line supervision/management
• Filling out job sheets.
• Completing a daily Time sheet
• Complete weekly time sheets/expense forms
• Assembling, Maintaining, and Installing equipment
• Adhering to regulations
• Carry out a daily vehicle checks if utilizing company Transport.
• Responsible for your issued PPE.
• Following instruction and guidance.
• Work to safe working practices

• Ability to read basic engineering drawings, build sequence and parts lists.

1. 3.       General Working Arrangements

• When working in Site Services premises standard Factory office hours will apply.
• The role is predominately based within the UK
• The role involves being flexible and accommodating to achieve goals.
• The role may involve working outside of normal hours e.g. weekends, nights etc.
• Specific projects may involve travel outside of the UK by arrangement.
• All hours worked to be recorded on timesheets and submitted to the immediate line supervisor/manager.
