Final Test Electrical Operative Permanent

MYNT Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting several Final Test Electrical Operatives for a company who have been at the forefront of their technology sector for over 20 years. Our Client is an award-winning manufacturer in a specialist and growing market that supply to a range of different industries including Automotive, Plastics, Food and Drink, Steel and Pharmaceutical. The company are based in a modern, bespoke manufacturing facility in East Yorkshire, but operate globally, exporting over 98% of their products worldwide. They are an innovative business, very much valuing the edge their people give them.

The company is now looking to recruit several Final Test Electrical Operatives to help meet an increase in customer orders. This role would involve working the late shift.

As a Final Test Electrical Operative you will be trained to align optical elements and systems, calibrate and then test products, solder components and complete all the relevant documentation and data sheets. You will be expected to apply quality standards, interpret drawings, use hand tools, show initiative, and manage your own time. You will be expected to demonstrate problem-solving skills, patience, and balanced decision-making whilst being able to follow detailed instructions.

Ideally you should also have experience of;

• Excellent Attention to detail
• Must be flexible and willing to work alternating shifts
• Following detailed technical instructions
• Working in a technical hands on environment
• Working with a soldering iron
• Lean Manufacturing
• Strong team-working abilities and communication skills.
• Able to use own initiative and make decisions.
• Good computer skills & knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Word & Excel.

You will be working an afternoon shift Monday to Friday 1:45pm to 10:00pm.

The starting basic wage is £10.50 per hour; there is also a shift premium allowance of 15% making it £12.08 per hour whilst working an afternoon shift. There is also a profit related bonus of 5% on top of this.

There is also overtime available during weekend working.
