We are looking to recruit an assembly operative for our busy and expanding manufacturing company based in Thorne, South Yorkshire. The company supplies building products to the construction, rail and vehicle building sectors. The company has secured new contracts and their order book is full for the next couple of years. They are now expanding and looking to add to their team.

The assembly operative job involves using hand and power tools to manufacture various products. You will be asked to cut materials to length, using a tape measure, drills, sanders and screw drivers to assemble the products. Also using wood working machinery such as band saws, edge banders etc.

The shifts are Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm, paid 39.5 hours per week (Friday finish at 3pm). There is up to 10 hours overtime during the week and on Saturday mornings.

The pay rate is £9 per hour. Overtime is paid at time and a half of the basic rate after 40 hours worked.

We are looking for candidates who have;

• Previous experience using hand and power tools
• Previous experience using wood working machinery
• Previous experience in a similar assembly role
• Access to their own transport due to the location of the company.
