We are a growing potato marketing company, looking for an accounts and administration assistant to support our Operations Manager. The successful candidate will have relevant experience and strong accounts processing skills and be able to work as part of small team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and purchase ledger processing using Sage (invoicing, credits, purchase orders, supplier invoices etc)
Data inputting
Producing weekly and monthly payment plans
Processing payments to suppliers
Processing daily banking
Bank, cash, and suppliers statement reconciliation
Assist with monthly payroll activities, including timesheet reconciliation
Sage analysis and interrogation, including report generation
Reconciliation including bank and VAT
Customer liaison and query handling
Credit Control
Petty cash, credit cards and business expenses
Supporting Operations Manager and other team members with administrative duties
Operate within company Health & Safety policy
Occasional holiday cover
To be a successful candidate you will need to show:
Good knowledge and recent experience of SAGE or other book-keeping systems (report generation, navigation of the system, data entry ,interrogation of data, reconciliation)
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong administrative and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ownership of issues through to resolution
Strong organisational skills
Approachable, with good inter-personal skills
Ability to use own initiative and work within a small team
