This exciting IT Company in Hull have sustained continuous growth and require a Senior IT Network Engineer to join their team.
As a Senior IT Network Engineer, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Build, installation and configuration of hardware and software for Servers, Firewalls, Routers, switches, Desktops, Printers and other peripherals.
In Depth knowledge of systems such as DHCP, DNS, VPN etc.
Local and Wide Area Networking, remote connectivity, VPNs Firewalls and security.
Responding to Service Desk calls from clients in a professional and timely manner.
Investigating and correcting problems logged by clients.
Updating clients of progress made on a call.
Keeping the help desk system up to date, showing progress made, job status, time spent on a job, handling escalation procedures.
Production of Service Desk and service performance documentation.
Liaison with, and co-ordination of, specialist third party providers.
Managing and using the Proactive Monitoring system.
Understanding of Routing protocols
CCNA Certification preferred.
Understanding of Cyber Security and Cyber Essentials Certification
Understanding of network topologies and protocols.
Support skills on Microsoft servers and desktops an advantage.
Experience of working in a busy helpdesk environment.
Experience of Cloud technologies – Azure – AWS etc.
To be a successful Senior IT Network Engineer, you will have the following skills and experiences:
If you have worked as an IT Engineer, IT Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Support Engineer or have experience working within an IT Help Desk environment then we would be interested in speaking with you.
And in return, a Senior IT Network Engineer will receive a salary of up to £27,000 depending on experience. Working Monday to Friday with occasional on call responsibilities.
