MYNT Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting several Production Operatives for a company who have been at the forefront of their technology sector for over 20 years. Our Client is an award-winning manufacturer in a specialist and growing market that supply to a range of different industries including Automotive, Plastics, Food and Drink, Steel and Pharmaceutical. The company are based in a modern, bespoke manufacturing facility in East Yorkshire, but operate globally, exporting over 98% of their products worldwide. They are an innovative business, very much valuing the edge their people give them.
The company is now looking to recruit several Production Operatives to help meet an increase in customer orders along with going on to a 2 shift working pattern.
The Production Operative role you will be trained to align optical elements and systems, calibrate and then test products, solder components and complete all the relevant documentation and data sheets. You will be expected to apply quality standards, interpret drawings, use hand tools, show initiative, and manage your own time. You will be expected to demonstrate problem-solving skills, patience, and balanced decision-making whilst being able to follow detailed instructions.
Ideally you should also have experience of;
Excellent Attention to detail
Must be flexible and willing to work alternating shifts
Following detailed technical instructions
Working in a technical hands on environment
Working with a soldering iron
Strong team-working abilities and communication skills.
Able to use own initiative and make decisions.
Good computer skills & knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Word & Excel.
Initially you will be working an afternoon shift Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm, but you could be asked to work on a rotating 2 shift pattern (days and afternoon shifts).
The starting basic wage is £10.50 per hour; there is also a shift premium allowance of 15% making it £12.08 per hour whilst working an afternoon shift. There is also a profit related bonus of 5% on top of this. After the first year, you should expect to be paid a basic rate of £11.59 per hour, along with the shift premium and profit related bonus too.
There is also overtime available during weekend working.
