We have a couple of roles for a well-established manufacturing and distribution company in the Hull area working as a Mechanical Assembly Operative. The primary role of the job is to ensure the products are assembled, tested and completed to specification.
Working as part of a team to meet production schedules/deadlines, you will be expected to maintain health and safety in the work area for yourself and others. You will have a “total flexibility” approach, carrying out the following functions after suitable training as directed by the Team leader:
Assemble valves to defined specification
Hydro Testing of completed valves
Kitting of production orders
Material movement and storage
Picking of material from stores area
Working to Engineering drawings and following any relevant processes.
Using a variety of measuring equipment to verify product conformance
Working as part of a team and reporting to the Cell Leader.
Work with customer third party inspectors in the compliance to inspection test procedures.
Complete assembly builds within the routed time.
Highlight when time has not been met and offer suggestions for improvements.
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the required standard.
Maintain safe working practises for self and others in accordance with Company policy.
Identify assembly/tester stamp on goods and paperwork for traceability.
Ensure excessive issued components are returned to stock.
Ensure best practices are adhered to remove opportunity for non-conformance.
Identify and highlight non-conformance immediately to supervisor and support quality staff in rectification/corrective actions. Move goods to quarantine area.
Release goods for final inspection and dispatch
These roles are for immediate start and could lead to PERMANENT employment within the company. Hours of work are 7:30am to 4:15 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30am to 11:30am Friday.
There is a generous hourly rate for this role. Additionally, there are excellent overtime incentives for any hours worked over 37 hours, or if the weekend is worked.
